Interrupted By God

Do you ever think you have THE answer about some aspect of life? A bright idea that will solve whatever issue is at hand? Where the metaphorical light bulb goes off and your mind’s eye sees everything falling into place?

I haven’t had a lot of light bulbs going off lately, and that’s left me feeling a little in the dark. Too bad there is no switch to flip and easily see with clarity.

But my ideas aren’t always THE answer, anyway, as I learn time and again.

Practicing Life

Do you remember learning your multiplication tables in elementary school? We were expected to go over them until we could rattle them off like we were wielding a numeric machine gun. It wasn’t my favorite assignment, for sure, and I remember my mom drilling me on them until they finally sunk in. The theory, in part, is that once they are embedded in our brains, we will then be able to use them with little effort to solve bigger problems.

I’d Rather Live in Kindness Cove than Bitch Bay

This past week was our annual trek to the Northwoods in Wisconsin, and we were blessed with beautiful weather and genuine opportunities to relax and enjoy life unfolding rather than life devouring.

One bit of fun my husband and I discovered was paddleboat fishing.  Continue reading “I’d Rather Live in Kindness Cove than Bitch Bay”

Living Laugh Track Lives

The TV shows that cater to the middle school set are often…how do I say this gently…well, they are often very bad. Like…painfully bad. Not all of the shows, but a lot of them. Perhaps it is because there are several stations that target that demographic—creating lots of airtime to fill—and…with the abundance, maybe not the greatest writing. Or acting. Or directing.

This Is NOT a Test

The Juggle Struggle has a new look! I hope you like it.

My apologies to my email subscribers who received a test post yesterday as I was working on the redesign. I hate wasting time, and I really hate wasting my readers’ time–even a minute. Argh. Sorry.

So…this time around is NOT a test.

Whew!

I’d love to hear feedback from you on the new look–or on anything, for that matter. And if you find something that needs tweaking that I have yet to discover, please let me know! After all, it takes a village…

And, as always–thanks for taking some of your precious time to read this crazy blog and share with me in life’s journey!
